PV Grid Connection Tuscania – Viterbo

CEBAT builds a new 30 kV MV cable duct for Iberdrola.

CEBAT has built a new 30 kV medium voltage underground cable system in the Tuscania area, as part of the development of renewable energy plants promoted by Iberdrola, one of the world’s leading IPPs and a leading operator in the renewable energy sector. The province of Viterbo currently represents one of the main development hubs for utility-scale photovoltaics in Italy.

The project focused on grid connection infrastructure, with particular attention to operational reliability and integration with the local context.

Activities included:

• Construction design of the cable duct, with particular attention to the crossings
• Installation and laying of cables and ancillary infrastructure, including excavations and civil works
• System testing to ensure performance and full operability

The project contributes to the development of renewable capacity and the strengthening of electricity infrastructure to support the energy transition.
