Grid Connection for the Equinix Data Centre – Settimo Milanese

150 kV grid connection for a hyperscale data centre.

CEBAT implemented, on a turnkey basis, the high-voltage grid connection infrastructure for an Equinix hyperscale data centre in Settimo Milanese. The project contributed to the development of critical digital infrastructure, with a focus on service continuity, redundancy, and minimising impact on the local area.

Activities included:

• Construction of 150 kV HV cable ducts, with over 90% of the route performed using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), in order to reduce interference and surface impacts
• Supply and installation of 150 kV HV cables supplied by Prysmian Group, integrated with a DTS system for continuous monitoring of the system status
• Coordination of construction site activities, in compliance with tight deadlines and critical operational requirements

The project confirms CEBAT’s role as a reference partner for HV connections dedicated to hyperscale data centres.
