Water Pipeline – Western Sicily

CEBAT supports Siciliacque in water distribution in the Trapani area.

CEBAT is involved in the construction of a primary water supply system on behalf of Siciliacque. The project involves a pipeline of approximately 67 km, designed to improve distribution efficiency and contribute to the sustainability of the local water system.

The project involves the construction of a pipeline with a transport capacity of 300 litres per second (approximately 9.5 million m³/year).

Activities include:

• Laying of large diameter pipes (500–600 mm), mainly in cast iron, along a route of approximately 70 km
• Construction of hydraulic works and special crossings (OS21), with steel structural components

The project will significantly reduce water withdrawals from wells, helping to combat the salt wedge phenomenon and improving the sustainability of the water system.
